t was at St. Nicholas that I discovered a deeper meaning of liturgical architecture. While editing the video I made during the first Easter Vigil in the renovated church, I discovered that the clips focused on the actions of the liturgy. I had forgotten to capture the architecture! The architecture is now performing its proper role - supporting the people participating in their liturgies. These two clips suggest the depth of excitement at St. Nicholas.

What makes this shift of focus from architecture to people in action as the main role is the subtle shift of relationships among the furnishings and sacred objects. Nothing has been removed or added between 1904 and 2000. Use your mouse to see these changes.
